There are around 9 million inhabitants and about 1.6 million foreigners in UAE. Therefore, in addition to the official Arabic language, English is a widely used language. According to official statistics, there are 750,000 workers in the UAE families and about 20% are domestic workers/nanny, mainly in relatively wealthy areas such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. In terms of oil reserves, Abu Dhabi accounts for more than 90% of the UAE, which has rich natural resource. Dubai, on the other hand, has made great efforts to develop infrastructure, trade and tourism, and has become a transit center in the Middle East in the 21st century.

For wealthy families in these areas, it is inevitable to hire a full-time maid/housemaid to do housework, or take care of children and the elderly. Compared with the traditional practice of introducing maids by maid agency in the past, as the times progressed and the network became more developed, many UAE families also started their own online search of nanny and interview directly, and only when appropriate, did they find maid agency/employment agency .
